THE BRIEF

Coordinated tightly around existing building conditions.

The board wanted to turn an apartment into a fitness room residents would actually use, without disturbing the neighbors around it.

This post-war building had a low slab-to-slab height, shareholders above and next door, and a high-end retail store below. The client needed to prioritize acoustics without sacrificing functionality or aesthetics.

Residents now use it as an extension of their own apartments.

KEY SCOPE
  • High-end custom millwork
  • Felt & wood wall paneling
  • Intimate lighting design
IN THE DETAILS

Where the craft shows.

Detail mosaic: bronze wall sconce on terracotta felt, bronze coat hook set into oak, oak meeting fluted white paneling, scalloped fluted wainscot at the oak bench, oak cross joint against felt, lit oak shelving, and a bronze reveal pull
